Laurent Philippot Speaks at the Global Colloquium Series


Laurent Philippot, head of Agricultural Ecology Department of INRA and Einstein Chair Professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech entitled “A Tale of Two Stories from the Underground: Soil Microbial Diversity and N Cycling” to the Zhejiang University community on Zijingang Campus on June 17.


Professor Laurent Philippot enjoys a high academic reputation among his peers in the world due to his outstanding contributions to soil nitrogen cycling microorganisms. He is the editor of the ISME journal, the member of the editorial board of FEMS Microbial Ecology and Applied and Environmental Microbiology, and the review expert of Nature, Science, PNAS, Nature Geoscience and other top international journals. He has published more than 130 papers in the top international journals such as Nature Climate Change, Nature Review Microbiology, Trend in Plant Science, Global Change Biology, Trends in Microbiology, the ISME Journal and Ecology. The citations are more than 10000 times and the h index is up to 51. He has been listed into the Highly Cited Scientists of Clarivate Analytics.
